The Florida Gators made finalizations to their roster for the upcoming season ahead of Wednesday's fall camp, adding seven players since the end of spring camp in April.
The Gators brought in five freshmen who can help on both sides of the ball: wide receiver Mason Jordan, defensive linemen Stive-Bentley Keumajou-Yondui and Jayden Gross, safety Eric Parks Jr. and long snapper Lincoln Anderson. The program also brought in two transfers, who are both fairly unconventional: tight end Jaylen Jordon and cornerback Javier Jones, who round out the summer acquisitions for Florida.
The Coral Gables, Florida, product was a surprise addition to the 2026 roster. The defensive tackle was originally in the 2027 recruiting class for Florida but reclassified
ahead of July 31.
Keumajou-Yondui is a unique prospect — he moved to the United States from England in 2025 and decided to sign with Florida over Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. The 6-foot-3-inch, 295-pound prospect was rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports.
The Gators continued the in-state recruiting by bringing in Parks and Jordan. Parks played at Tampa Bay Tech, along with current Gators wideout Dallas Wilson. Parks is a 6-foot, 193-pound three-star who recorded 115 tackles with 15 for loss, two interceptions, and six defended passes over 37 varsity games.
Jordan contributed 40 catches for 664 yards and five touchdowns in his senior year, while playing with the Gators' class of 2027 quarterback commitment, Davin Davidson, at Cardinal Mooney. Jordan and Davidson helped lead Cardinal Mooney to a FHSAA Football State Championship. Jordan currently stands at 5 feet 9 inches and 173 pounds.
Gross and Anderson were two out-of-state additions to the program, Gross being from Mississippi and Anderson being from Alabama.
Anderson is labeled a 4.5-star recruit by Kohl's Kicking Camps in the 2026 recruiting class and is a unique special teams prospect, having played offensive tackle as well during high school.
Gross stands 6 feet 3 inches and 246 pounds. The defensive lineman is twitchy for his size, running a 4.7 40-yard dash. During his Junior season, he logged 14 total tackles with two tackles for a loss and an interception.
Florida head coach Jon Sumrall has been known to make unconventional decisions, most notably starting Darian Mensah at quarterback in 2024 during his time at Tulane; however, the move to bring in former Jacksonville University basketball player Jaylen Jordon is out of the ordinary. Jordan had not played football since he was in high school, and when he did play, he was a defensive end.
Florida first witnessed Jordan at Florida's Pro Day in March. During the Pro Day, Jordan posted measurements of 6 feet 6 inches and 237 pounds. He also jumped 32 inches vertically and 10 feet broad.
Since then, he has gained 10 pounds and is currently listed as a senior.
The Gators' second summer transfer was Jones. Jones played two seasons of community college at Independence Community College in Kansas before joining the Gators as a redshirt sophomore. In his final season, Jones finished the season with 12 total tackles and five pass breaks. He currently stands at 6 feet 1 inch and 181 pounds.
Another summer transfer pickup, Jones spent the last two seasons at Independence Community College (JUCO) in Kansas and finished his 2025 campaign with 12 total tackles and five pass breakups. The 6-foot-1-inch, 181-pound cornerback joins Florida as a redshirt sophomore.
