Florida football earned its second victory of the 2026 campaign with a 52-3 thumping of the Campbell Fighting Camels in the Swamp on Saturday. While the Gators still have some issues to work on before SEC play begins, the win showed they have the potential to be something special.
After the dust settled from Week 2's college football action, USA TODAY Sports writer Paul Myerberg released his re-rank of all 138 FBS teams. In it, the Orange and Blue improved by five spots and are now ranked just outside of the top 25 at No. 26 — between Billy Napier's No. 25 James Madison and No. 27 Arizona.
The SEC now has nine teams in USA TODAY Sports' re-rank top 25, headlined by top-ranked Texas, along with Georgia (No. 3), LSU (No. 7) and Texas A&M (No. 9)
among the top 10. Ole Miss (No. 11), Alabama (No. 12), Tennessee (No. 14), Missouri (No. 22) and Oklahoma (No. 24) round out the rest of them.
Next up, Florida hits the road to take on Auburn to open up the SEC schedule on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
