The latest 2027 NBA mock draft from CBS Sports projects Florida's Thomas Haugh as the No. 10 overall selection in next year's class. The outlet has the 6-foot-9-inch, 215-pound forward heading to the Charlotte Hornets, by way of the Utah Jazz, pairing him with a promising young core in the Queen City.
Haugh's draft stock remains strong after the 2026 consensus second-team All-American chose to return to Gainesville for his final season. Versatility drives his appeal at the next level, with athleticism and the ability to play multiple positions making him attractive to scouts who note his perimeter shooting as a swing factor that catapults him to lottery status.
"He's a well-rounded athlete who plays multiple positions, has a motor, and doesn't
need to be an offensive focal point. Improved three-point shooting would only help his stock," wrote Adam Finkelstein.
NIL has become a decisive factor for Haugh and other elite basketball players deciding to return to collegiate hoops. CBS Sports specifically points to a significant NIL opportunity as part of the reason the New Oxford, Pennsylvania, native opted to make one last Final Four push with head coach Todd Golden and fellow front-court mates Reuben Chinyelu and Alex Condon.
Florida's NBA pipeline has flourished under Golden, with the Gators producing three selections in the 2025 NBA draft, including first-round pick Walter Clayton Jr. Haugh, Condon and Chinyelu represent the next wave of prospects, which highlight the program's ability to attract and develop pro-caliber talent.
