There are a few halftime shows that are reliable crowd pleasers no matter what. Youth football teams getting trucked by mascots? Absolutely. Red Panda flipping bowls onto her head from the top of an egregiously tall unicycle? Never misses. Prince? Everyone loves Prince, even people who don't love Prince.
One of the best, low effort halftime shows is also the cutest. Corgi races put a bunch of the universe's stubbiest, cutest warriors onto the field, court or ice and allows them to create magic. We already got one icon when Banana not only roasted the field in Seattle, but gave Seahawks fans a Usain Bolt-style lookback while savoring the win.
The Carolina Panthers jumped on that train in Week 9. It gave us yet another moment of corgi brilliance
-- this time not in the service of embarrassing other dogs, but making humans look stupid.
Men nearly defeated by corgi

That post-race escape was so wild it got the full football breakdown from RedZone host Scott Hanson.
"They can't get him at the 40," commented Hanson as the Panthers tried to clear the field for the second half kickoff. "They can't get him at the 45! He's at midfield! The corgi is loose, he's checking to his left, checking to his right! He's looking at himself in the big video board!"
After a quick jaunt and at least four humans who'll be icing their ankles tonight, the loose pup was corralled. There's no word whether Bo Nix, seeing the dog's elusive playmaking, asked the Broncos to sign him in order to catch half a dozen bubble screens in the second half.
