Philadelphia may be home to the final seasons of LeBron James' career and the upstart soccer phenom Cavan Sullivan, but October has been an otherwise sad state for the city's sports landscape.
So, you best believe that the Carolina Hurricanes are taking a victory lap about it.
The Hurricanes are off to a league-leading start through seven games, and Sunday's win over the Flyers was the team's second win in Philadelphia in October. If you crunch the numbers, that's two more wins than the Flyers, Eagles and Phillies tallied in Philadelphia in October ... combined.
The official Twitter/X account for the Canes shared that stat on Sunday.
We've won more games in Philly in the last nine days than the Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies combined this month.

The
Hurricanes could have included the Philadelphia Union — which won its Saturday home match behind two Sullivan assists — and they still would've had more wins in Philly than Philly's own sports teams.
That's how depressing it's been for Philadelphia sports this month.
