Vincent Pastore, best known for his role as Salvatore Bonpensiero on the seminal HBO program The Sopranos, has died at 80, USA TODAY has confirmed.
No cause of death is known at this time.
"The Emmy-nominated actor was found dead at his home in the Bronx, New York, where he is from, on Saturday, Aug. 1, his manager of over 30 years, Robert Attermann, confirmed to USA TODAY," USAT's Anthony Robledo reported
."A neighbor of his had not heard from him in three days, according to Deadline, and the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation."
A solid filmography
Pastore appeared in films like Goodfellas, Carlito's Way, Mickey Blue Eyes, The Hurricane, Revolver, Made and Corky Romano during his acting career.
Also a vet of television
Outside of The Sopranos, he appeared in the HBO
televised film Gotti and shows like Law & Order, The Practice, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the Hawaii Five-0 reboot.
