Alexander Zverev is one of the best tennis players among all the men in the sport. The German star is -- at the moment -- No. 2 in the ATP rankings as he tries to win the 2026 U.S. Open. That would be his second Grand Slam title -- if he beats Ben Shelton -- after he won the 2026 French Open earlier in the year.
And he's had his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla rooting him on along the way. So who is she? How did they meet? The answer is that she's an actress and model. They've been on each other's social media accounts for years since they started dating. No word on how they met, exactly.

Who is Alexander Zverev's daughter?
Zverev is a father Mayla, the daughter he had with ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea. He confirmed he was the baby's father in a statement via Tennis.com back in 2020:
“Even
though Brenda and I are no longer together, we have a good relationship and I will live up to my responsibility as a father. Together we will take care of the little person that is about to grow.
What were the allegations against Alexander Zverev?
Some details from USA TODAY Sports: Zverev's ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova accused him of domestic violence in multiple incidents. Patea "alleged he caused her bodily harm during an argument in Berlin in May 2020."
The ATP closed its investigation into those allegations in 2023 and said there was not enough evidence to punish Zverev, who had denied the allegations.
