In 2019, we took a wild, extradimensional ride as Jesse Faden, director of the Federal Bureau of Control, as she tried to find her captive brother and save everyone in the agency from the evil cosmic Hiss in Remedy Entertainment's hit video game, Control. Seven years later (in the real world, that is), we finally get to play as her brother, Dylan, in the highly anticipated sequel, Control Resonant
.Except this time around, Dylan gets to play around in a giant (fictionalized) version of New York City. Hoo buddy.
If you're reading this, the chances are you've probably, at the very least, considered picking up a digital copy of Control Resonant, with the game releasing on Thursday, September 24th, 2026. But if you're passionate about supporting
physical media and actually owning your video games rather than relying on the whims of a giant company to ensure you have digital access to something you bought with your hard-earned money forever, well, I can understand why you'd want to wait for the physical edition of this game!
Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait just a tad longer to get a physical version of Control Resonant. But I promise, if you're a big fan of Remedy's general, expansive gaming universe, it'll be well worth the wait. You can buy a physical copy of Control Resonant on Thursday, October 15th, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. At the time of this writing, there is no official word on whether there will be a physical edition for a PC version of the game.
That's only a few weeks away, dearest readers. If physical media matters to you and you can wait a little longer to cause mayhem as Dylan Faden in a virtual version of one of the world's biggest cities, I highly recommend you sit tight.
