The last time we saw Micah Parsons in a Green Bay Packers uniform was one of the lowest points of his career. The perennial All-Pro tore his ACL during a road loss to the Denver Broncos in late 2025. Given how much the Green Bay defense relies on Parsons' general pass-rushing dominance, his injury seemed to have a ripple effect on the Packers, who went on to lose five straight games to close the season, including a crushing wild-card playoff loss to the rival Chicago Bears and quarterback Caleb Williams.
When Parsons first teased his recovery timeline this past summer, some assumed he would prioritize returning for the Packers' first matchup with the Bears this season. That happens this coming Sunday at Lambeau Field. Unfortunately, that won't
happen. (In other bad news: We won't see Williams play in the game, either.)
Embattled Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was upfront about Parsons' status on Monday, noting that the four-time All-Pro won't even return to practice this week. Or, in other words, Parsons ain't playing against the Bears. Welp.
LaFleur said Micah Parsons will not return to practice this week.

On paper, Williams against Parsons sure seems like one of the NFL's better modern quarterback vs. pass-rusher matchups. So, it's a bummer we won't get to see the latest episode of this duel in Week 5. If there's any consolation, that probably just makes the Bears-Packers matchup on Christmas Day later this season all the sweeter and laced with even more anticipation.
