The Detroit Lions' defense has looked, in the wise words of Shaquille O'Neal, like barbecue chicken through the first two games. Tyler Shough and the New Orleans Saints carved the Lions up for 30 points in the second half and overtime of Week 1, then Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills dropped 41 on them on Thursday Night Football.
It's a far cry from the gritty Detroit teams NFL fans have come to love under Dan Campbell. Linebacker Jack Campbell is taking accountability for his role in the descent. The fourth-year pro got emotional postgame, holding back tears as he described the defense's struggles and why he feels at fault.

"Every time I lace up my cleats I'm going 100%," Campbell said. "Put it on me. I played terrible. I gotta be better. Especially for the offense and for all these guys in the locker room."
It's undoubtedly a disappointing start to the season for the Lions. Luckily, they've got a soft stretch of the schedule to bounce back, with games against the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals ahead.
