The late Dolly Parton continues to be mourned by the world after the icon died at the age of 80. But does that include the National Hurricane Center as a tropical storm could approach?
The next storm in 2026 hurricane season in the Atlantic will be named Dolly. As in Dolly Parton? The answer is: No.
Per USA TODAY: "The wave, far out in the Atlantic, could be named by Aug. 27, but the name 'Dolly' was chosen 30 years ago and is not related to Dolly Parton's death on Aug. 25."
What a coincidence that is. And now you know the answer.
