Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham seemingly made a joke about Las Vegas Aces superstar center A'ja Wilson after the superstar's heated encounter with a fan on Tuesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
After the fan in question stepped toward the court
during Game 2 of the first-round playoff series, pointing and shouting at Wilson after a Cunningham foul, Wilson confronted him and was pulled away by teammates.Wilson explained after the game that she was responding to the antagonistic posture the fan took to step toward her as he was pointing his finger. The Fever said in a statement that the fan did not violate the team's Fan Code of Conduct and that the matter was "closed."
Cunningham's Wednesday TikTok in question joked about the "comeback
year for the point," seemingly referencing both the Fever fan who bothered Wilson and her viral DeWanna Bonner pointing meme from the summer.
"IYKYK... yikes," Cunningham's caption read on the TikTok video.
