Derrick Henry has defied Father Time throughout the latter stages of his NFL career, but at 32, he only has a finite amount of elite play left in him. It's largely going to waste for a Baltimore Ravens team that's in complete free fall right now.
With Lamar Jackson and Tyler "Snoop" Huntley on injured reserve, Baltimore doesn't have much reason for optimism after four straight losses, including three by 20+ points. Jacoby Brissett is certainly not the answer.
Henry is doing what he can, ranking top 10 in the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns, but he can't do it all. Still, he's not looking at an exit plan with the trade deadline looming next Tuesday.
“I have not mentioned me going anywhere else,” Henry said, per ESPN. “I’m saying, ‘Let’s go back
to work. Let’s try to get better and turn this thing around.'”
Credit to Henry for sticking with his teammates through all the adversity.
