The Atlanta Falcons are back! Or so we think. At least for one week, the Falcons looked like a competent offense again in Michael Penix Jr.'s return to the lineup in last Thursday's blowout over the Green Bay Packers.
That opens up so many options for Week 4 bettors targeting the Falcons as the team takes the field for a second straight prime-time matchup, this time on Monday night against the rival New Orleans Saints.
It also helps that the Saints have been solid all year. That leaves us with an abundance of choices Monday night. Below are my favorite three anytime touchdown scorer picks for the game -- not including Bijan Robinson (-195), who's always a threat to reach the end zone no matter who's at quarterback.
Devaughn Vele (+230)
Chris Olave (+130) has drawn
double-digit targets in every game this season, and posted his second-straight 100-yard game last week against the Raiders. Drawing the most defensive attention, however, he's been held to just one touchdown on the year. NO's tight ends have mostly benefitted from that, but I expect the team's second-leader in targets, Vele, to have some opportunities from the slot on Monday night.
Drake London (+125)
No one benefitted more from the return of Penix last week than London, who exploded for 194 yards on nine catches. If that continues into this week, it's only a matter of time before he gets his first touchdown of the year.
Kyle Pitts (+310)
Next in line to get it going for Atlanta is Pitts, who only has two catches all year. But once he does, you won't likely get odds this long on him again. New Orleans is a good spot for him to get started, as the Saints have allowed the second-most catches and third-most yards to tight ends this season.
