The Los Angeles Rams' collapse against the Denver Broncos may have been aided by a questionable call on Sunday night as the road team squandered a 16-0 lead to lose 30-26.
In the fourth quarter, Bo Nix threw a pass intended for Pat Bryant that found its way into the hands of Rams cornerback Josh Wallace. But Wallace was whistled for defensive pass interference, and the Broncos scored the go-ahead touchdown from there. Just about everyone from fans to NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay (see below) didn't see it as DPI.
Was there some contact between Wallace and Bryant? A little bit. Did Bryant have his arm on Wallace? A little bit. See what you think and if you agree it should have been an interception:

Rams CB Josh Wallace should have been flagged for pass interference, in what may have otherwise been an interception. The Broncos went on to score what would serve as the game-winning TD. pic.twitter.com/A0YDJ8ZmZl

What he wants to say… “the refs completely blew that DPI call in the red-zone & we should’ve won!” pic.twitter.com/B0TDDHcmWH
Per ESPN, he also said it "looked like it was a good, competitive play from my vantage point."

So the NFL's lead rule analyst says the refs got the call wrong and yet nothing changes 🤷♂️
What’s the point of having replay if a call this big can’t be fixed? pic.twitter.com/dh9sOML7Qg
