The passing of Dolly Parton sent shockwaves through the world, and tributes have been pouring insince the news broke on Tuesday. Parton was 80 at the time of her death, having lived an incredible life that included music, movies, philanthropy and more.
Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Parton and their relationship over the years. Cyrus and his family have been close with the iconic singer over the years, including Parton being the godmother to his daughter, Miley Cyrus.
"I have so many moments and memories with Dolly, it’s hard to know where to start. Like every little boy, I grew up loving Dolly Parton. She was a part of our lives, on our TV’s, right in our living rooms," Cyrus said in his post.
"Dolly
recently sent me a beautiful message, telling me she loved me with her whole heart. I will always love her in the same way ….. with my whole heart … and I always will," Cyrus said to end the tribute.
