If there was ever a game to "play the hits," so to speak, it's tonight's prime-time game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. So, forgive all the chalk here.
Dealing with injuries all over the place, the Eagles are at least expected to have Saquon Barkley back. And they should lean on him as much as possible against Dallas' awful defense. And the Cowboys are healthy, but playing below their abilities on offense. So I expect them to get back to the basics of running the ball and feeding their best playmaker, CeeDee Lamb, when they do pass it.
With that said, these are my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks for Monday Night Football.
Javonte Williams (-170)
As much as we think of Dallas as a passing offense, they've been most successful when able to first
establish the run. Which should be an emphasis in their attempt to break a two-game losing streak. But even with his reduced workload the last couple weeks, Williams is still riding a four-game touchdown streak -- and he's scored in five of six games this year.
Saquon Barkley (+100)
On one hand, Barkley's likelihood of reaching the end zone with Jalen Hurts out could be harmed if Tanner McKee is unable to move the ball into scoring territory. On the other hand, it could increase because Hurts isn't around to steal those goal-line touchdowns. Especially against the Cowboys' defense, I think the latter is more realistic. Heck, Barkley might just break a long one on his own, without McKee's help.
CeeDee Lamb (+120)
Dallas knows Lamb needs to get the ball more than the two catches he saw against Tampa two weeks ago, which is why he saw 18 targets in last week's lost to Green Bay. I'm not deterred by the fact he only caught half of those, because his chemistry with Dak Prescott remains greater than that of George Pickens. Plus, Lamb's ability to work from both the slot and the outside gives him a greater opportunity to get open against a beatable Philly secondary.
