D23, which Disney dubs as "the ultimate Disney fan event," is taking place in Anaheim, California this weekend, and things got off to a hot start Friday night. The event covers a range of topics, announcing new projects, introducing new casts and sharing trailers for upcoming films and television shows.
One of those trailers that debuted at the Premiere Stage was for Avengers: Doomsday. The first Avengers movie since 2019's Endgame, Doomsday is set to release on December 18. There has been one full trailer released for film, and now Marvel Entertainment has dropped a special look at the MCU project.
We see more of Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Magneto (Ian McKellan), Gambit (Channing Tatum), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Shuri
(Letitia Wright), Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) -- among others -- as we get a bit more background on Victor Von Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).
The most tense moment of the trailer comes when Doctor Doom easily dispatches of Thor and Stormbreaker, stopping him with just two fingers before flicking him to the side and saying, "Hell answers to me, for I am Doom." There is also footage of Reed Richard asking, "Victor, did you do this?" before escalating it and yelling, "Answer me, Victor, did you do this?"
He used to be different.
