Sydney Sweeney's ad for sports prediction-market brand Novig is still causing a stir one month later. The latest person to seemingly call out the spot was Dodgers outfielder Alex Call, who responded to a tweet on X that suggested MLB change the type of commercials that air during its games to better attract young viewers.
The tweeter, named Taylor Murphy, listed three commercials that came on while they were watching the playoffs with their kids, including the Sweeney ad. "Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch. You don't need a Nickelodeon game. You're not the Savannah Bananas. Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house," they said.
Call quoted the tweet with a plea of his own to MLB and the league's broadcast partners to do
something about the "soft porn ads."
Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB? My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked women could come on screen anytime?? This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this. https://t.co/7YAWSZgo5d

There's no mistaking what he's talking about there.
