An orca named Jack has been thrilling Washington-based boaters with an exuberance that many can appreciate.
The accompanying footage, via Puget Sound Express, shows Jack in a series of breaches the whale-watching company described as "his best Free Willy impersonation."
The footage was captured in the Strait of Juan de Fuca by a naturalist named Charlie.
Jack is a transient, or Bigg’s killer whale, cataloged as T137A. According to Puget Sound Express, Jack is 24 years old and weighs approximately 10,000 pounds. He usually travels with family but is also known for his solo adventures.

A Puget Sound Express spokeswoman, Lily, told FTW Outdoors: "Jack has been a frequent visitor
to Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca this summer, traveling both solo and with members of other pods.
"He’s a well-known and well-loved whale because he breaches more often than nearly every other orca that we see," Lily said.
