Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White alluded that she's not sure if she'll be back with the team in 2027, though she'd love to if she's given the opportunity.
In somewhat of a surprising statement, White essentially confirmed she's not been told if she'll be the team's coach in 2027. She said it's Indiana's decision whether or not she's back for another season with the Fever.
"I love this franchise; I have always felt supported from this franchise," White told reporters during her Saturday exit interview. "I hope to continue to be the coach."
Fever general manager Amber Cox said White and her coaching staff would be part of the process to improve the team for 2027, but White being unsure of her future indicates that nothing is set in stone yet.

The odds are extremely high that she will return to the team, but the fact that she wasn't 100% sure of that during exit interviews is curious to say the least. Between this and Kelsey Mitchell's noncommittal approach to her future with the franchise, big changes could be ahead for Indiana.
What did Mitchell say?
She said she needs to be selfish about her future in the WNBA and spoke to the ups and downs of being with the franchise.
