The Kansas City Chiefs came under fire last week when they signed former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, who once faced 16 sexual misconduct allegations from massage therapists in the Baltimore area, to their practice squad. The addition came amid long-time Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker's struggles, who missed five kicks in just six games entering Sunday's road matchup against the Denver Broncos
.The controversy concerning the Chiefs' Tucker addition came up during CBS's broadcast of the nationally televised game. Rather than completely glossing over why the Chiefs and head coach Andy Reid were getting ripped for signing Tucker, the way some sports broadcasts do with alleged criminals, and especially with violence and sexual assault against
women, play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz and J.J. Watt actually explained why the Tucker signing was bothersome.
They even said that Reid was rightly grilled at a press conference over the Tucker addition, where he was curt before cutting off questions.
Jim Nantz: "Just last year, (Justin) Tucker had to serve a 10-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Given the multitude of allegations of nonconsensual behavior, Tucker's signing this week just drew a sharp rebuke in Kansas City & really all over the NFL landscape."

It's kind of a low bar with all things considered, given the general state of sports broadcasting in awful situations like this sometimes. But it's not nothing that Nantz and Watt simply stated the facts while calling out the Chiefs and Reid over Tucker.
