Tyson Bagent was positioned to have his first NFL start since 2023 when Caleb Williams went down with a hamstring injury late in Week 2. But after sustaining a concussion against Brian Flores' blitz-happy Minnesota Vikings defense, No. 3 QB Case Keenum got to start and absolutely turn back the clock against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Keenum, 38, dissected Philly for 247 passing yards and three total touchdowns, creating a tough decision for Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson as Williams remains sidelined. Johnson, for what it's worth, once praised Bagent as a top-32 quarterback in the NFL.

Bagent spoke candidly about his perspective on Keenum's success ahead of Week 4, proving
exactly who he is in the process.
“There’s a couple ways to think about it," Bagent said. "Obviously, I would like everything that the football world can offer me. But then there’s also the part that I am from Shepherd University, so I have absolutely zero ego in this and nobody is a bigger cheerleader and a fan of Case Keenum than I am. I think he is the epitome of what I believe a quarterback is and is supposed to be. So it was fun to watch him play.”
Johnson has to appreciate the selflessness from his quarterback room.
Is Tyson Bagent or Case Keenum starting Week 4?
The Bears haven't named a starter yet.
