Another week of NFL football is upon us, and it should be a good one.
Week 9 begins with a showdown between the injury-plagued Ravens and the 5-2 Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night in Baltimore, which leads into a Sunday slate with several interesting games headlined by cross-conference battles. Among the highlights are games between the Broncos and the Panthers, the 49ers and Raiders, and the Packers and Patriots.
On Sunday night, the red-hot Bears play host to a somewhat resurgent Tampa Bay squad, while Monday night features what is likely the game of the week between a pair of potential Super Bowl contenders in the Bills and Vikings in Minneapolis.
Our panel of experts is back to give you picks against the spread for every matchup on the Week
9 NFL slate.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens (Thursday Night Football)
Opening Line: Ravens -4.5
Grimes: Jaguars -10
Derrick Henry needs help.
Curtis: Jaguars -10
The Ravens went from being just OK to a complete disaster. Yikes.
Zeglinski: Jaguars -10
The broadcast crew will be breaking out random conversation topics to fill air time in the third quarter of this possible blowout.
D'Andrea: Jaguars -10
I don't even know if Joe Fagnano is going to be prepared enough for a backdoor cover.
Nettuno: Jaguars -10
Jacksonville should absolutely roll against Joe Fagnano.
Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons (in Madrid)
Opening Line: Bengals -4.5
Grimes: Bengals -3
I could see this ending in a push.
Curtis: Falcons +3
Atlanta's defense will keep this juuuust close enough.
Zeglinski: Bengals -3
The Falcons are actually kinda solid, but the Bengals look like a burgeoning AFC juggernaut.
D'Andrea: Falcons +3
Cincy just got shredded by Tony Pollard. Now it's gotta face Bijan Robinson???
Nettuno: Bengals -3
Hard to trust Atlanta after that stinker last week.
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Opening Line: Eagles -5.5
Grimes: Giants -3.5
It's been a long time since the Giants have been favored over Philly. Make it count!
Curtis: Giants -3.5
The Giants can make a statement here before... they maybe trade for a running back?
Zeglinski: Giants -3.5
Divisional opponents be damned, the Eagles' quarterback situation means they deserve no benefit of the doubt.
D'Andrea: Giants -3.5
Divisional hatred might make a difference, but it didn't last week when the Eagles got thrashed by the Commanders.
Nettuno: Giants -3.5
The Eagles haven't had a pulse for a bit now.
Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers
Opening Line: Broncos -3
Grimes: Broncos -2.5
I wasn't expecting Carolina to get this much respect, but it's a good spread.
Curtis: Broncos -2.5
Carolina hasn't looked like the feisty team we saw earlier this season.
Zeglinski: Broncos -2.5
If this is a close game in the fourth quarter, expect the Broncos to somehow pull victory out of the jaws of defeat.
D'Andrea: Broncos -2.5
The Panthers are unraveling, but fortunately for them a pile of loose twine can still win the NFC South.
Nettuno: Broncos -2.5
This spread is confusing to me. Denver should be fine.
Detroit Lions at Miami Dolphins
Opening Line: Lions -6.5
Grimes: Lions -7
The Lions will come out fighting for Jack Campbell.
Curtis: Lions -7
I'll also take the over on points here, whatever it is.
Zeglinski: Lions -7
The Lions' defensive injuries concern me but they still have plenty of offensive firepower to take care of the Dolphins handily.
D'Andrea: Lions -7
Miami is trending upward, but so is Detroit -- and with a much better roster.
Nettuno: Dolphins +7
I'll take Miami to keep this close in a little bit of a letdown spot.
New York Jets at Kansas City Chiefs
Opening Line: Chiefs -9.5
Grimes: Jets +10
Say what you want about the Jets but they don't get blown out.
Curtis: Jets +10
That's A LOT of points, even if it's the Jets.
Zeglinski: Jets +10
The Chiefs are justttttttt vulnerable enough for me to think the Jets can hang around with them before Kansas City eventually pulls away.
D'Andrea: Jets +10
I do believe in Geno Smith's ability to pull off a backdoor cover, however.
Nettuno: Jets +10
Jets have been competitive enough for me to predict a cover here.
Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints
Opening Line: Saints -3.5
Grimes: Saints -3
Good spot for the Saints to grab a much-needed win out the bye to keep up in the South.
Curtis: Saints -3
Shedeur Sanders starting may not have changed how I felt about this one.
Zeglinski: Saints -3
Shedeur Sanders, in New Orleans, against a Saints team still, technically, in the NFC South title race? Gimme the Saints.
D'Andrea: Saints -3
New Orleans is coming off a bye, and the switch from Deshaun Watson to Shedeur Sanders could sow enough confusion for the Saints to get back on track.
Nettuno: Saints -3
New Orleans has been better than its record all year.
Los Angeles Rams at Washington Commanders
Opening Line: Rams -5.5
Grimes: Commanders +5.5
They covered (and almost won) against SF, and I think they keep it close against the Rams too.
Curtis: Commanders +5.5
Rams coming East and maybe the Commanders offense is better than you think.
Zeglinski: Rams -5.5
I'm sorry, I have seen the Commanders play football. And they are somehow less coherent than the overinflated Rams.
D'Andrea: Commanders +5.5
Nothing has come easy for the Rams, even if Aaron Donald and maybe Myles Garrett get the chance to tear through Washington's tissue paper offensive line.
Nettuno: Rams -5.5
I don't really trust the Rams, but I trust Washington much less.
Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts
Opening Line: Cowboys -1.5
Grimes: Cowboys -5.5
Only because there should be some urgency after that Arizona meltdown.
Curtis: Cowboys -5.5
The dismal season for Indy continues.
Zeglinski: Cowboys -5.5
Brian Schottenheimer doesn't have a job on Monday if Dallas loses this one.
D'Andrea: Cowboys -5.5
Indianapolis lacks the firepower to keep up in this shootout.
Nettuno: Cowboys -5.5
Colts have fully entered tank mode.
Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers
Opening Line: Chargers -2.5
Grimes: Texans -5
The Texans are one of the best 2-5 teams I can remember.
Curtis: Texans -5
I think I've written this for like four straight weeks, but whatever: Can't bet on the Chargers until I see more.
Zeglinski: Texans -5
Again, tell me why the winless Chargers don't want to trade anyone?
D'Andrea: Texans -5
Houston has a path back to over .500 in the next four weeks. The Chargers offense is like watching someone try to unlock a door with a key made of Jell-O.
Nettuno: Texans -5
This game is going to show there are levels to being bad in the NFL.
Las Vegas Raiders at San Francisco 49ers
Opening Line: 49ers -8.5
Grimes: Raiders +10
The Raiders are too feisty for a spread this big.
Curtis: Raiders +10
Kirk Cousins can keep this within a score.
Zeglinski: 49ers -10
Mike Evans should be back, which means the 49ers are liable to put up on 40 on Las Vegas's middling defense.
D'Andrea: Raiders +10
Las Vegas can keep this close thanks to the continued attrition on the Niners sideline.
Nettuno: Raiders +10
Spread is a little disrespectful to Vegas.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Opening Line: Seahawks -13.5
Grimes: Cardinals +12
I know the Cardinals are the Cardinals but man does this spread seem disrespectful.
Curtis: Cardinals +12
A get-right game for the Seahawks but Arizona won't lose by that much, even with Gardner Minshew at QB.
Zeglinski: Cardinals +12
The Cardinals are feisty, even if I do expect the reigning Super Bowl champs to rebound.
D'Andrea: Cardinals +12
Arizona is the funniest team in the NFL and genuinely frisky on the road.
Nettuno: Cardinals +12
Way, way too many points given Seattle's recent struggles.
Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots
Opening Line: Patriots -1.5
Grimes: Packers +3
I picked the Pats to win, but I have to take the points when the margin between these teams seems so thin.
Curtis: Packers +3
Two questionable teams means take the points.
Zeglinski: Patriots -3
Two evenly matched teams with good quarterbacks so New England gets the edge for playing at home.
D'Andrea: Patriots -3
Oh, I hate this line. Injured Patriots vs. unreliable Packers? Avoid.
Nettuno: Patriots -3
Green Bay just hasn't done much to earn my faith here.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Chicago Bears (Sunday Night Football)
Opening Line: Bears -3.5
Grimes: Bears -6.5
I really want to take the Bucs, but they're going to have to throw more than a handful of passes to keep up with Chicago's offense.
Curtis: Bears -6.5
Chicago looked legit in their statement win last week.
Zeglinski: Bears -6.5
Is anyone playing better football in the NFL than the Bears right now? This team is really rounding into Super Bowl-caliber form.
D'Andrea: Bears -6.5
Chicago is riding some huge momentum right now. Tampa Bay just won a game while completing zero passes. Might be fun!
Nettuno: Bears -6.5
Chicago looks like a potential wagon.
Buffalo Bills at Minnesota Vikings (Monday Night Football)
Opening Line: Bills -3
Grimes: Bills -3.5
I don't know what the deal is with Kyler Murray's hamstring, but it probably won't matter against Josh Allen.
Curtis: Vikings +3.5
Buffalo wins by two against a really good defense.
Zeglinski: Bills -3.5
The Vikings' offense is abysmal. The Bills aren't so dominant that they'll have a 16-1 regular season, but their next loss won't come here.
D'Andrea: Bills -3.5
Josh Allen vs. a Brian Flores defense. Finally, the primetime gods reward us.
Nettuno: Bills -3.5
I think the Vikings take another loss this week.
