The Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions both scored more than 30 points in their respective season openers... and they both gave up 30 points too. Against teams with offenses nobody would describe as explosive.
As these offensive juggernauts who tied for fourth in points scored last season get set to face one another on Thursday night, there's no reason to expect them to slow down now. The 54.5-point over/under on this game is easily the highest total of Week 2, and I'd still take the over.
That should leave us more than a few good options in the anytime touchdown scorer market. The biggest lock is Jahmyr Gibbs, but at -330, his odds don't make sense as a standalone bet. For better value, the below players are my favorite picks from this game.
Amon-Ra St. Brown (+105)
Buffalo's
corners couldn't handle Nico Collins, and they won't have an answer for St. Brown either. Fresh off a 10-catch, two touchdown performance against the Saints, St. Brown will have an arguably easier matchup this week against Buffalo's corners. And after drawing 14 targets from Jared Goff, we can be sure he'll get the ball.
Dalton Kincaid (+170)
Kincaid opened the season with arguably the best game of his career, tying a team-high five receptions on six targets for 130 yards. Which is encouraging for everyone who's been waiting for his big breakout year. With as much chemistry with Josh Allen as anyone on the Bills, Kincaid will now get to face a Lions defense that gave up a combined seven catches, 77 yards and two touchdowns to Saints tight ends Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant.
D.J. Moore (+150)
Finally, I'm rolling with Moore to reach the end zone after Allen made clear how much he already trusts his new weapon in their first game together. Like Kincaid, Moore had five catches for 100 yards, and he also added a 43-yard score. I'm looking for him to reach pay dirt again in Buffalo's home-opener against a Lions team that was just torched for 182 yards by Chris Olave.
