So many athletes have weighed inon social media and beyond about the Sydney Sweeney Novig ad that stirred controversy recently (which was defended by the company's CEO). Sophie Cunningham joined the fray on her No Hesitation podcast.
"She sticks to her guns and she does her thing. She's her, so like, props to her," the Indiana Fever guard said. "Do I like it? That particular ad, not really. What are we doing? But again, I'm not surprised, that's what she's known for, so she's gonna do that, she's making her money, go make your money, sis."
Then, she went on to respond to all the backlash: "But why are girls mad? That is literally what she does. Why is anyone mad? It is a gambling ad -- men, sports, pretty much naked women. Of course that’s gonna
draw attention. Do I agree with it? Morally, I think it's kind of weird. But to each their own, go do your thing sis.”
She also gave a shoutout to all the women "showing young girls what it looks like to be an athlete."
