Odell Beckham Jr. is back on the New York Giants a decade after his last Pro Bowl appearance with the franchise. Much has changed since then, with Jaxson Dart now the quarterback, John Harbaugh the coach and Beckham wearing... No. 3.
Yes, Beckham isn't wearing the iconic No. 13 jersey he graced the cover of Madden 16 with. Fourth-year receiver Jalin Hyatt has worn No. 13 since 2023 after publicly securing Beckham's blessing at the time. It's made for quite an awkward situation.

The Giants cut their roster to 53 on Sunday, with general manager Joe Schoen opting to keep Beckham on the regular-season roster over Hyatt, who signed to the practice squad. Still, Hyatt isn't letting Beckham get No. 13 back just yet.
Beckham
recently admitted to reporters the number situation remains on his mind with the season opener approaching on Sept. 13.
"I think we all know what (No. 13) means to me, and there definitely will be some conversations," Beckham said. "I'll just say we'll see, but it would be an honor and a privilege to put that back on."
Hyatt has not lived up to the lofty standards Beckham set in No. 13. The former Tennessee star has 36 catches for 470 yards and 0 touchdowns through three seasons, and he didn't start a single game for the receiver-depleted Giants in 2025. He's struggled to run routes at the NFL level after relying on his speed in college.
Beckham isn't expected to play a huge role for the 2026 Giants, but him even making the roster at age 33, after several major injuries, is a feel-good story for the Giants. We'll soon see whether his New York reunion comes with his preferred number.
