The Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese rivalry has always been an overblown narrative since they faced off in college and played each other in the WNBA.
And now, they're teammates on Team USA for the 2026 FIBA World Cup, and there's no rivalry. As we saw in the team's quarterfinals blowout of Hungary with a score of 108-56, there was magic between the two young stars. They played so well together, dishing passes to one another and appearing to have some fun together on the bench.
Plus, they're praising each other to reporters. Clark recently told the Associated Press that “We’re both fiery, fiery competitors and we want to win and it’s one of the things I really admire about her game."
After Thursday's game, Reese had this to say, "I'm sure we know
each other's games like the back of each other's hand. ... She knows my spots. I kind of got one to her today or maybe two, so it's fun."
