Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty is questionable for Sunday's game at the New England Patriots with foot and ankle injuries that forced him to miss practice Friday.
The ankle injury isn't new, but Jeanty also had a flare up of plantar fasciitis. He was able to practice Wednesday and Thursday, however, so Friday isn't necessarily an indication that he'll miss Week 5. In fact, the latest on Jeanty's status Sunday morning is promising. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jeanty is hopeful to play.
Rapoport added, however, that Jeanty's status is not definite and the running back will work out pregame to see how he's feeling.
Who is Ashton Jeanty's backup?
If Jeanty is unable to go, rookie Mike Washington Jr. will be the starting running back, with Dylan Laube next
on the depth chart. The Raiders also elevated Roman Hemby from the practice squad.
