Taylor Swift was back on stage on Monday as the singer performed at the 2026 Grammy Museum Icons Sessions gala. The 14-time Grammy winner sang a mashup of her songs "I Knew It, I Knew You," "August" and "All Too Well" on her iconic Eras Tour piano and then sat down for a deep-dive conversation into all things music.
Swift, who got married to NFL tight end Travis Kelce in July, covered a lot of topics over the course of the discussion, including her proclivity for voice memos. "If I have a melody, whether it has lyrics attached to it or not, I'll just -- no matter what -- grab my phone no matter what embarrassing social situation I'm in," Swift said before mimicking her process to chuckles from the crowd. "Because you think you'll remember it.
You will not."
The The Life Of A Showgirl singer went on to explain that if she doesn't, that melody might be lost forever.

Swift also admitted that they might not all be winners, but sometimes, you get one that sticks. "Most of the time you're like, 'Oh, that was awful,'" Swift explained. "But every once in a while, there was something there."
