Frances Tiafoe is back in the US Open semifinals for his third time tonight. He's seeking his first finals appearance, as is fellow American Ben Shelton, his opponent who took down Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals.
The world No. 12, Tiafoe is seeking his first Grand Slam singles title. The 28-year-old defeated Daniil Medvedev and Alex Michelsen in the last two rounds to reach this point. Tiafoe is 1-3 all-time against Shelton, so evening up their head-to-head series will be significant in more ways than one.

Who is Ayan Broomfield?
Broomfield, 29, is a Canadian tennis player who played collegiately at Clemson and UCLA. She and Tiafoe went public with their
relationship in 2018, and since then Broomfield has been a fixture at Tiafoe's matches.
Broomfield notably served as a body double for Venus Williams matches in 2021's Oscar-nominated film King Richard. At her peak, Broomfield was the world No. 680 in April 2015. She no longer plays competitive tennis.
