Over the years, there's been no shortage of postgame press conferences where it's obvious that a player or coach of a losing (or winning) team is undeniably frustrated by something, but is attempting to bite their tongue. It's common across virtually all sports and completely understandable given that players and coaches frequently speak to the media almost directly after the game.
Dallas Wings head coach Jose Fernandez used a recent presser to acknowledge that sometimes those moments may not have been exactly his...well, kindest.
It's hard not to appreciate when athletes and coaches get candid, and that was exactly what Fernandez did in his own unique "apology" of sorts while departing the podium.
"Thank you guys for covering us all year," Fernandez
said to the media. "Through. the good, bad and me being an [expletive] as well."

It's certainly an unfiltered parting message that obviously drew a strong reaction from the media, who broke into laughter after Fernandez's comment.
As for the Wings, they'll finish with the franchise's best record since the move to Dallas, and could wrap up the year with the most wins in franchise history if they pick up victories in three of their final five games. Currently, the Wings hold a 23-16 record and are No. 8 in the standings, just a half game back of the New York Liberty and Washington Mystics, and 2.5 games behind the No. 4 Atlanta Dream.
