New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is finished for the 2026 season after injuring his knee against the Los Angeles Rams on the road on Monday night.
Why is that, especially when early word was that the injury wasn't as serious?
Well, Dart is expected to have surgery on the injured knee after he suffered damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus, per ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo on Wednesday. However, he is expected to make a full recovery.
While losing Dart absolutely dampens the expectations for the Giants right now, hearing that he should be back and ready for 2027 has to be a relief for New York fans.

We'll see how Dart's recovery goes, but it's officially Jameis Winston time in New York.
