When bison aren’t tossing tourists, halting traffic, or creating other types of spectacles in Yellowstone National Park, they’re often just moseying around.
The accompanying footage, shared Saturday by Skyline Guest Ranch just outside the park, shows several bison traversing the shaded woodland in front of the property, without noticeable fanfare.
"The ranch welcomes all sorts of visitors!" reads the Instagram description.
The bison are shown moving leisurely behind one another with only one life choice at the moment: whether to leap over or step across the walkway.
"Haha. Funny buffalo!" reads a Facebook comment.
"So nice of them not to dirty the boardwalk!" reads another comment.
Yellowstone is home to more than 5,000 free-roaming bison, but sightings
are not restricted to the park.
Skyline Guest Ranch is in the Yellowstone gateway community of Cooke City, Montana, seven miles east of the park’s Northeast Entrance.
For those wondering about the leaping ability of bison, they’re capable of clearing objects nearly six feet high.
