Future Hall of Fame Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement from the league on Tuesday.
After missing Sunday's Los Angeles Rams loss with a personal matter, Johnson has now stepped away from the NFL after playing in three games this season. Why is that?
Well, according to his announcement, Johnson wants to prioritize his family and his mental health over his football career despite inherently wanting to be on the field. He called his retirement an "incredibly difficult decision."
After 14 years, it's going to be wild to see the Eagles without Johnson on the field. After all, he's a franchise legend.

That's such a huge blow to Philly, but hopefully, Johnson's post-playing days go as well as possible.
Who will play in his place at right tackle?
Tackles Fred Johnson and Markel Bell are the first two up for Johnson on the depth chart.
