As Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold nurses a soft-tissue injury, his return to the field could come sooner than expected.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport shared on Tuesday's Pat McAfee Show
that "there is at least a chance" Darnold could return as soon as Week 3, only missing the team's Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Rapoport estimates he will miss probably one or two more games before returning to the field.Darnold getting back sooner than later after exiting Week 1's New England Patriots win early with said injury would obviously be a huge boost for Seattle. Backup Drew Lock is capable of holding down the fort for another week.
While Darnold's ailment could hold him out longer, the fact that he could return so soon is encouraging
for Seattle.
