It's been a nightmare season for Justin Herbert. The Los Angeles Chargers are the NFL's lone winless team and the Mike McDaniel experiment has gone horribly wrong offensively.
Herbert has thrown at least one interception in every game this season, including two last week against the Los Angeles Rams
. The first of those picks went to safety Quentin Lake, who made an impressive return to set up a Rams field goal.Lake went on the St. Brown Podcast after his big play and absolutely eviscerated Herbert.
"He was throwing deli meat out there," Lake said. "He was seeing ghosts. I don't know what's going on, but we knew we were getting a couple."

Yikes. It doesn't get much more disrespectful than that.
Still, Herbert doesn't have much room to argue with Lake. The two-time Pro Bowler ranks dead last in QBR and leads the NFL in interceptions with 10. And while he's dealt with injuries to his offensive line and pass-catchers, Herbert has made brutal errors from a clean pocket that can't be attributed to his surroundings.
The Chargers hope to get their first win of the season Sunday against the Houston Texans.
