Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg spoke to reporters on Friday and made a bold claim when he was asked about his height heading into the new season.
When speaking to the media, Flagg was asked "how accurate" it was that he is now 6-foot-11. Earlier this summer, he liked a post on Instagram that said he was 6-foot-11.
He said that it was "not very accurate" and that he measured at 6-foot-10 "with no shoes" at his physical on Thursday.
He confirmed that he is taller than he was during his rookie season. According to Flagg, he was "like 6-foot-9" last season. However, at the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, he measured at 6-foot-7.75 without shoes.

So if he actually measured at 6-foot-10 without shoes, that means he has grown more than two inches since the summer he was drafted last year.
Mavericks executive Masai Ujiri also previously said that Flagg "grew" during the offseason as well, though the exact height was unconfirmed .
