Footage has emerged showing large sharks circling and feeding on a sperm whale carcass Tuesday off Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Ocean Eco Tours shared the accompanying video, featuring several of Hawaii’s premier apex predators.
The description reads: "The circle of life yesterday! One dead sperm whale with probably 15 tiger sharks and 5 oceanic whitetip sharks feeding on it!”

Drone pilot Jeremy Mich published videos showing aerial views that reveal shark and human activity around the carcass. (See link below.)
Mich's videos include one titled, Scenes off the Kona Coast, which shows snorkelers just feet from a massive tiger shark.
The sharks were focused on the whale carcass, thankfully,
and expressed zero interest in the human intruders.
