Ohio State's season is suddenly on thin ice.
The Buckeyes started 6-1 this year, but after quarterback Julian Sayin was injured in the win over Indiana, the Buckeyes lost on the road at USC. That losing streak was extended to two games on Saturday as the Oregon Ducks went into Columbus and rolled to a 41-22 win.
Backup Buckeyes quarterback Luke Fahey threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns in the game, while Jeremiah Smith had 133 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough as they found themselves facing a 38-14 second-half deficit.
It was also a loss of historic proportions for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes jumped out to an early 14-0 lead before giving up 38 unanswered, and the loss marks the first time Ohio State has lost a game after leading by
14 points since a 2001 game against Wisconsin.

With the third loss of the season under their belt, the Buckeyes' playoff hopes are suddenly in serious jeopardy. They also face three potentially tricky games to close out the regular season against Northwestern, Nebraska and Michigan.
They'll have to win all three of those games to even have a chance of a postseason berth, and that may be easier said than done given their current struggles.
