It feels like Mike Evans hasn't been healthy all season for the San Francisco 49ers, even if the 33-year-old wide receiver has been productive when he's on the field. On Monday night, he left the Niners' win over the Washington Commanders with an Achilles injury and was questionable to return before he was out.
So what's the latest? Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that it was a flareup of Achilles tendonitis -- he said he's hoping Evans will play next week -- and there's an additional report that he could miss Week 7 before the Niners' bye in Week 8. Given Evans' age, this injury acting up and the fact that the team is undefeated, maybe it'd be wise to sit Evans an extra week before the bye.
Hearing #49ers WR Mike Evans’ Achilles is in tact but
he will miss a little time. Potentially after the bye week if all things stay according to plan.

We'll see if that's actually the case. Stay tuned.
