Former New England Patriots tight end and NFL broadcaster Rob Gronkowski has pushed back on the speculation he was supporting conservative organization Turning Point USA in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
Viral scenes surfaced this week of Gronk signing jerseys and cajoling with voters near a Turning Point Action tent on Election Day in New Hampshire (scenes later shared by members of the organization). Gronkowski was one of a handful of celebrities, including fellow former Patriot Danny Amendola, spotted in the area near polling places on Tuesday, per WMUR-TV's KC Downey.
Voters reportedly received text messages about "celebrities" in the area for Election Day, per WMUR-TV, but it was not immediately apparent where those texts came from. Per WMUR-TV, boxers
Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather and Boston Red Sox vet Kevin Youkilis were also spotted near New Hampshire polling stops. Downey later reported that "the celebrities, including several sports legends, [were] appearing outside polling locations across the state as part of a get-out-the-vote effort by conservative political advocacy group Turning Point Action."
Adding to the TPUSA speculation, Tyson, Amendola and Mayweather have recently supported Donald Trump and Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
Hoewver, in an Instagram story on Thursday, Gronk denied any involvement with TPUSA's Election Day efforts, saying he and and media personality/longtime significant other Camille Kostek were just out in the area and saw fans to greet. He called the narratives "upsetting" and "eye-opening." A quick search shows neither Gronkowski nor Kostek follow TPUSA on Instagram.
"In regard to the images and videos circulating, [Gronkowski and Kostek] are not endorsed by or affiliated with Turning Point USA," Gronkowski said in his statement. "After stopping at Goffstown High School, we crossed the street to greet excited fans yelling our names before leaving to the next location. We simply took some pictures, and [Gronkowski] signed some things for them before leaving.
"We took photos with people across the across the political spectrum throughout that morning."

TPUSA did clarify to CBS Boston on Tuesday that Gronkowski was not part of their organized efforts and, as the former NFL tight end's statement implied, just walked by their tent.
Gronkowski has very lightly supported Trump in the past through the Patriots' 2017 Super Bowl visit to the White House. He then shared a fist-bumping image with Trump in the Oval Office to Instagram with the caption: "It was an honor to be in the Oval Office [fist-pumping] POTUS [Donald Trump] Making America Great Again."
He also playfully crashed a Sean Spicer White House press briefing during his 2017 visit with New England and later spoke favorably about the visit. However, he has not publicly campaigned with Trump like Tyson, Amendola and Mayweather have in this recent election cycle.
Gronkowski will be celebrated in New England over the weekend with a place in the Patriots' Hall of Fame.
