The New York Giants will reportedly release wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on Tuesday, ending his comeback attempt with the franchise that drafted him (for now).

Why is that? Well, ESPN Giants reporter Jordan Raanan linked it to wide receiver Braxton Berrios, the team's main punt returner, running out of his three practice squad elevations for the season.

It's possible that the team swaps out Beckham for Berrios and then re-signs Beckham to the practice squad. However, it's also possible Beckham seeks another opportunity elsewhere.

Beckham didn't record at catch in three games for New York, which likely made him expendable for New York possibly signing Berrios to the 53-man roster.
