On Thursday, Rockstar Games provided the first "extended look" at the highly anticipated video game, Grand Theft Auto VI, in a timed release on Netflix. (You'll be able to watch it in short order everywhere by the end of Thursday evening.)
In a 26-minute clip of gameplay, cinematics, and a general tour of the fictional Vice City and the greater fictional state of Leonida, we saw ... everything? Yeah, everything is about right. We got glimpses of the romantic relationship between main characters Lucia and Jason (an optional relationship, by the way!). We saw a car chase with scores of police on the characters' tail. We got a taste of the gunplay and the driving mechanics in general. There were also little snippets of parachuting, wrestling on a mattress
in an undisclosed backyard, and the game's version of the Everglades, among so many, many other things in this expansive, satirical-of-the-United-States adventure.
Naturally, the gaming world met the Grand Theft Auto VI extended trailer with a mix of awe at the graphics, confusion at game mechanics, and more.
The one thing I’ll grant GTA VI is that they nailed how everything in Florida looks like you got it from Temu.

Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19th, 2026. For many, the day clearly can't come soon enough.
