Chicago Bears quarterback Case Keenum hadn't started an NFL game since 2023 before Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles. So much for rust.
The 38-year-old was sensational, completing 24 of his 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns. Keenum added a rushing score on a well-designed "sucker sneak."
Chicago didn't skip a beat with Caleb Williams still recovering from his hamstring injury. In fact, the passing game clicked better than it has all season, with Keenum unlocking Luther Burden III to the tune of seven catches for 61 yards and a score.
Keenum earned a game ball for his performance, and he dropped an incredible one-liner in his speech afterward.

Will Case Keenum start Week 4 against the New York Jets?
It's unclear. Tyson Bagent entered the season as the Bears' backup quarterback, but Keenum got the nod Monday because Bagent cleared the NFL's concussion protocol late in the week. Considering how well Keenum played, it wouldn't be shocking to see him get another start, but Bears coach Ben Johnson hasn't indicated which way he'll go yet. Williams is expected to miss at least another two weeks.
