The on-court chemistry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has been one of the biggest storylines for Team USA out of the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Germany.
The team's 108-56 rout of Hungary on Thursday in the tournament's quarterfinals put the duo's surging ability to feed off each other on full display.
After Clark praised Reese earlier this week, Reese explained why they're playing so well together on the national stage.
"We've played against each other so many times, so I'm sure we know each other's game like the back of each other's hand," Reese said on Thursday in a postgame interview. "It's fun. We just continue to build chemistry because we know we're going to be USA teammates for a while."

Clark and Reese have long been assumed to be in a rivalry, but being teammates and getting to know each other as likeminded competitors can go a long way to build new relationships.

The team will play in the semifinal round on Saturday against either Australia or Spain.
