The Las Vegas Raiders were dealt a tough blow before the 2026 NFL season could even get started, as tight end Brock Bowers landed on the injured list with a knee injury that required what was reported as a meniscus trim. But there was a positive update Sunday morning for fans wondering when the Raiders' best playmaker will return to the field.
Bowers has already been ruled out for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, but according to Adam Schefter, the Raiders believe there is a realistic chance he returns for their Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the meantime, backup tight end Michael Mayer will be starting in Bowers place. With just three touchdowns since being drafted in 2023, Mayer isn't an attractive fantasy option for managers
looking to fill Bowers' spot in the lineup.
