Mike Vrabel wasn't about to let an insult of one of his New England Patriots players slip. Wideout Efton Chism III caught the game-winning score from Drake Maye to take down the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, an incredible accomplishment for the 2025 undrafted free agent.
But it was Bills safety CJ Gardner-Johnson who took a shot at Chism with reporters: "Practice squad player made a hell of a play. Do it again, probably wouldn't make it again."
That's where Vrabel stepped in while on WEEI to defend his player: "For a guy that's been on eight teams in four years? I mean, I guess he knows the drill."
OUCH.
Just for the record, Efton Chism has never been on a practice squad. CJ Gardner-Johnson has been on a practice squad. https://t.co/ewQc87VJUY

For what it's worth: CJGJ has been on six teams in eight years, but you get what Vrabel was saying.
