On Sunday, the US Open came to an end at Flushing Meadows in Queens after a lengthy two week tournament. On the women's side, Elena Rybakina took home her first US Open victory on Saturday before Zverev and Shelton took to the court to settle the final match. Zverev got the better of Shelton 6-3, 7-6, 5-7, 6-2 to cap off his tournament where he was the top seeded player. Shelton, meanwhile, was ranked No. 8 going into the tournament.
