The 2026 NFL season kicks off Wednesday with a Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. If this game goes anything like the last meeting, don't expect a ton of offensive fireworks.
Seattle's defense wreaked havoc on Drake Maye, forcing the regular-season MVP runner-up into three turnovers. And the offense also struggled to move the ball through the air, falling back into a conservative game-plan around the rushing attack.
Knowing how slow offenses can be to start the season, there isn't much reason to expect this game to go differently aside from New England adding A.J. Brown in the offseason. But with the champs at home, and fired up to start their title defense on the right foot, I like a different AJ to put
points on the board. Below are my favorite anytime touchdown picks for the game.
AJ Barner (+270)
One offensive player scored a touchdown for the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. That player was Barner, who also tied for Seattle's second-most receptions with four in the game. A bigger factor towards the end of 2025, Barner should be much more involved to start 2026.
Romeo Doubs (+280)
A.J. Brown (+155) is likely to draw much of the attention in this market in his Patriots debut, but Seattle's tough secondary will be paying close attention too. That should leave New England's other new receiver, Doubs, more room to make a big impact in his first game.
Jadarian Price (+135)
Kenneth Walker III did everything but score against the Pats on his way to winning Super Bowl MVP, which should bode well for Seattle's new starter. Though Rhamondre Stevenson (+110) is also getting plus odds -- and scored in the Super Bowl -- Seattle's defense was much tougher against the run last season. Besides, Price is a little more of an unknown factor. Which could work against bettors, but will also leave New England clueless as to how he'll be deployed.
